Moblogging

Today I experienced the best of times, the worst of times and a whole new appreciation for metropolitan environment.
Today I experienced poverty in a whole new way. I never have cash. Ever. I never use an ATM. These ghetto birds do it all in cash. My wallet consists of expired ATM cards and bank cards I don’t know pins to. I landed with $16 in pocket, parking in our office building is $14 a day.
Top it off with the data center biz. Oh lord do I hate it. Racks not built. Cable not organized. No network drops. No power. Just a big ass cage and a memory of what the previou customer must have done.
Today I paid over $45 in parking.
Today I ate in a McDonalds that had a time limit – of 30 minutes – from the moment you purchased your meal to the time you had to get out.
Today I had a McDonalds employee hand me a quarter to go to the bathroom. The shithole in the wall had a coin operated bathroom. I took pictures. I didn’t take a dump.
I had money sent to me, Western Union, for the first time in my life.
To get it I walked 2 miles through the poorest each race has to offer – asians, blacks, hispanics and indians.
Talked to an Indian today: ‘Its hot out there’ and the Indian replied ‘Yes, god is preparing us.’
I walked by no less than six churches in my quest for cash.
But it is after 1, I just watched 30 cop cars and a ghetto bird chase someone down. It wasn’t me. And as I wait, Again, at Pinks..
I am grateful this fucked disappointment of a day is almost done, and it will end fucking right.
