Cleaning out Web 2.0 Desktop
May 14th, 2007 by Vlad
Spent some time earlier tonight just cleaning up my IM buddy list and trimming out the people that I never/rarely talk to.
Spent some time weeding out the RSS feeds from people that haven’t blogged stuff in ages or blog about absolute crap, much like what you’re reading right now.
Went into LinkedIn last night and imported my Outlook contact list; Because I’m a great believer in the Web 2.0 linking professionals through the common people we’ve both lied to to escape the inevidable weekly LinkedIn discovery by one of my contacts and dealing with their invitation to join their network. Good lord, even hookers on MySpace aren’t as desperate to get in touch with you after you upload a picture of yourself with stacks of $100 bills pouring out of your ears. Go away Pip, nobody likes you.
Still trying to get in order all the web properties and different sites I manage into a single software that will give me quick-edit functionality.
Normal people clean out their desks and paper folders. Geeks clean out their Web 2.0 life
